Last week I had the best time visiting Atlanta's market to see the latest and greatest of what our industry has to offer. Not only did I get to catch up with dear friends in the area, but I was able to make new connections and view all of the fabulous product that I so often pull for clients online!

I love market because I am able to judge the quality of the lines/finishes/fabrics in person. It is the best feeling when you have experienced a product so you have the ability to educate your clients on the materials and process. Plus, the shiny lights and cocktails don't hurt!

As always, I have my favorites that include Oly Studio, Four Hands, Arteriors, Palecek, and Studio A. Their designs are always interesting, innovative, and modern. If you need a conversational piece, you can count on these guys to deliver. They never let me down and I am always anxious to see the design of their booth!

friday finds

This week has been a whirlwind after taking an unexpected trip back to Puerto Rico to be with my husband who was in the hospital with dengue fever. We are so thankful for our friends and family who took great care of us, which has allowed Jordon to get back into fighting shape.

Now we are looking forward to one of our very favorite holidays next week as we travel to Virginia and North Carolina for the 4th of July. Even though we will be dockside, I will be sporting my beach bum style with my awesome new polarized RayBans that I picked up in the PR. So stay cool and TGIF!

:: felt for days ::

I am back in the office and nursing a vacation hangover this week! It is always tough to jump into your routine after a relaxing vacation, but I am so grateful for the time away and space to clear my mind for some awesome upcoming projects. One that I am particularly excited to dive in to is a commercial office space that will be an open, collaborative working environment. I love the concept and have seen the trend of these rent-able offices across the country!

This phase of the project is my favorite part of the process (besides install!) because we are gathering inspiration and honing in on the details to create our overall vision. One product that I am investigating is FilzFelt because of how versatile and interesting it is. I have used this product in a few different applications over the years and the best part is that they will custom cut any pattern or design out of the felt for your project! It's sheer genius.

I am consumed with the possibilities and personality that felt offers, so enjoy some innovative installations and stay tuned for how our project evolves!

:: exploring puerto rico ::

This past week I hopped over to Puerto Rico to visit the hubby who is assigned here for 3 weeks. It has been amazing to get ahead on some work, recharge, and gather inspiration! I absolutely love this place and all of the rich culture. Every time I turn around there is a heart stopping view of the ocean or a piece of history.

I'll be back in town on Sunday and starting my Pina Colada detox, but until then enjoy some of my favorite shots from the past week! And TGIF!

I am headed down to the award winning beaches on Longboat Key for some much overdue family time this weekend and I can't wait to see my sisters who are flying in from across the country. We will be soaking up the sun and enjoying tons of wine, which is no surprise for the Norton clan! So what better way to kick off this weekend than with some tropical inspired finds! And yes, there is a high probability of us reenacting this awesome photography piece from One King's Lane!
